Our History

The Singapore Paints and Coatings Association (SPACA) (UEN: S84SS0008E) has a rich legacy in advancing the paints and coatings industry in Singapore. Originally registered as the Singapore Paint Manufacturers Association (SPMA) on May 18, 1984, it was later incorporated on August 28, 2008, with a mission to support industry growth and development. Recognizing the sector’s evolving landscape, the association underwent key transformations—first in 2015, when it was renamed Singapore Paint Industry Association (SPIA), and again in 2025, when it transitioned to its current identity as Singapore Paints and Coatings Association (SPACA). This change reinforces our commitment to representing the industry’s expanding scope, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation. SPACA has thrived for over 41 years, championing industry excellence, advocating for progressive policies, and strengthening engagement with stakeholders. With a forward-looking approach, we remain dedicated to advancing the sector’s interests and shaping its future.
